When trying to decide which tight end to start,??? ?????, the defensive matchup can be more important than the talent level of your players. The Minnesota Vikings (14.,????????, Miami Dolphins (14. and Dallas Cowboys (14.2) have given up the most standard fantasy points per game this season to tight ends. The defense you don't want to start a tight end against? The Kansas City Chiefs (2.9).
-- QB Blaine Gabbert, Jaguars (out)
Hamstring is "week-to-week," so Chad Henne will have a chance for decent garbage time numbers in Denver.
-- RB Darren McFadden, Raiders (doubtful)
He's participating in individual drills, but Oakland figures to play it safe and hold him out until after its Week 7 bye. Rashad Jennings is also nursing a hamstring injury making the Raiders backfield a situation to avoid.
A few additional fantasy nuggets to help owners set their Week 6 lineups:
Top 5 Adds
1. +27% RB Zac Stacy, Rams
2. +27% RB LeGarrette Blount, Patriots
3. +20% WR Terrance Williams, Cowboys
4. +15% TE Garrett Graham, Texans
5. +14% WR Harry Douglas, Falcons
Top fantasy injuries
A disappointment in 2013,???????? ????, Johnson takes his 3.1 yards a carry average to Seattle to face a stubborn Seahawks defense.
Tip of the week
?? Marc Caviglia,
- Tony Holm,
VALUE METER:
--
-- QB Michael Vick, Eagles (questionable)
Though he has been testing his hamstring on a limited basis in practice, Nick Foles will start in an unfavorable matchup.
Top 5 Drops
1. -9% RB Rashad Jennings,GUCCI ???, Raiders
2. -8% RB Jason Snelling, Falcons
3. -8% RB Daryl Richardson, Rams
4. -8% WR Eddie Royal,???? ??, Chargers
5. -7% WR Ryan Broyles,????? ??, Lions
SIT: RB Chris Johnson, Titans
-- Kurt Turner,coach ???,
Sit/start matchup
-- WR Miles Austin, Cowboys (questionable)
There's no guarantee he'll bump Terrance Williams from a starting spot even when his hamstring is back to 100%.
-- RB Ryan Mathews, Chargers (questionable)
Concussion concerns persist, so Danny Woodhead will get even more touches..
The Saints don't have a No. 2 receiver, and Thomas is benefiting. He is averaging 5.6 catches a game and is a serviceable RB2 option at New England.
-- TE Rob Gronkowski, Patriots (questionable)
Targeting this week for his 2013 debut but likely to be a game-time decision again, timberland ????, which won't help fantasy owners with a late-afternoon kickoff vs. Saints.
Most added/dropped
-- WR Calvin Johnson, Lions (questionable)
Knee injury that made him a surprising inactive last week is still preventing him from practicing,??? ???.
START: RB Pierre Thomas,???????? ??????, Saints
-- Mike Williams, Buccaneers (questionable)
Slowed by a hamstring injury but a solid WR3 against the Eagles if he's able to play.
