Texarkana Independent School District is committed to enabling emergent bilingual students to develop primary language, literacy, and academic skills through the integrated use of content-based language and instructional methods to become proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the English language. This includes mastering grade-level reading and language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies knowledge and skills as integral parts of the academic goals for all students to enable emergent bilingual students to participate equitably in school.
Title III requires that student identification and parent notification take place no later than four (4) weeks after the beginning of the school year. An LPAC should follow the more stringent Texas requirements and have student identification and placement occur within the first 4 weeks (20 days) of student enrollment.
Upon initial enrollment, all students must have a Home Language Survey (HLS) completed in their student record (only one: The original or a copy of original). The HLS shall be administered to each student new to the district and to students previously enrolled who were not surveyed in the past. If the HLS indicates a language other than English, testing must be initiated to determine English proficiency.
The DRC LAS Battering for English Learner Identification will be used for the purpose of English Learner Identification. Districts/charter schools that are required to offer a bilingual program must test students in English and in their primary language. Students will receive a score that determines them to be English Proficient or Emergent Bilingual. Testing must be administered by trained personnel. Parental permission does not have to be obtained prior to oral language proficiency testing.
Parent Rights / Authority Bilingual Education Texas Education Code Chapter 89.1240 It is the policy of the state that every student who has a home language other than English and is identified as an English language learner shall be provided a full opportunity to participate in a bilingual education or English as a second language (ESL) program.
Dual language immersion/one-way is a bilingual/biliteracy program model in which students identified as emergent bilingual students are served in both English and the program's partner language and are prepared to meet reclassification criteria in order to be successful in English instruction with no second language acquisition supports not earlier than six or later than seven years after the student enrolls in school. Instruction provided in the partner language and English is delivered by a teacher appropriately certified in bilingual education under TEC, 29.061. When the instructional time for both the partner language and English is 50%, a paired-teaching arrangement may be utilized in which instruction provided in English may be delivered either by a teacher appropriately certified in bilingual education or by a different teacher certified in ESL in accordance with TEC, 29.061. This model provides ongoing instruction in literacy and academic content through content-based language instruction in English as well as the students' primary language, with at least half of the instruction delivered in the students' primary language for the duration of the program. The primary goals of a dual language immersion program model are:
Yes. The content curriculum for one-way DLE is based on the same grade level TEKS and closely follows the district scope and sequence for each subject. The difference lies in the language of instruction of each content area. In PK-1st grades all subject areas are taught in Spanish except for math. In 2nd-5th grades math and English language arts are taught in English and science, social studies, and Spanish language arts are taught in Spanish.
Families new to the district are encouraged to begin the enrollment process before the first day of school. Enrollment forms can be obtained at any TISD campus. Enrollment requirements, locations, dates, and more can be found by visiting our Registration & Enrollment page.

I use IXL to reinforce standards-driven curriculum. IXL is the best tool for differentiating instruction from the highest of learners to those who need more practice at different levels. I am not a huge proponent of homework but if a child needs extra practice, this is the perfect tool. I have even encouraged parents to get a subscription over the summer so their child can continue to gain momentum. The kids love it!
I appreciate the skill plans and the reports. I really appreciate that the kids love it! I love that they have instant feedback and can earn rewards. I love the certificates they can see at the end of each module.I use the Score Grid reports and the Trouble Spots reports to see who is struggling and needs help. I like to see how much time students are spending on each skill. I love all the analytics features and how you can break them down by skill to assess your students and target interventions.I have been using IXL for about 5 years but not as intensely as I do now. I have worked with under-served students and it was a huge push to gain their attention and acceptance but they loved it and asked to use it everyday.Currently, I work in a very affluent school with an extremely gifted population, and IXL is just as widely accepted and challenging for them. IXL is always my first choice when it comes to digital platforms.

IXL is used in the classroom and at home to build foundational knowledge and target individual and whole class needs. Students always get excited about having time to answer and learn various math skills. They appreciate getting immediate feedback and challenge themselves to master different skills by keeping an eye on the number of questions they can answer correctly in a set amount of time. Students also feel pride and build their self-confidence upon receiving individual certificates and awards on IXL.
To help motivate students I set up class challenges by skills and levels, and even have the girls compete against the boys in a friendly battle of who can master specific skills first. These challenges all help students focus on a goal and they encourage students to converse with each other about what they can do to improve their results.
I use IXL as part of my everyday teaching. The students use IXL in different ways, for example: during centers to practice previous knowledge, practicing diagnostic recommendations for homework, during small groups... Read more >> cc7c31b456 yelsal

Technical Excellence:The film has low technical values. The animation work and CG work of a peacock are of standard quality, but rest of the movie seems to be shot on shoestring budget.
Though the basic storyline is intriguing, the director has resorted to unnecessary comedy sequences that have failed to generate laughs and boring romantic scenes have further spoiled the mood. And the film drags on for no reason. Many scenes are also repetitive. Bad editing is major issue.

vasiyoga and pranayama is different from the usal practices. advance pranayama the techniques can follow by any person but in the case of vasi yoga have some basic eligibility, restrictions and fundamental mental preparation for the disciples whom hold the enormous energy when it emits from the physical body during initiation so masters can easily reciprocate the energy to the obedient students. even some places in western ghats near tenkasi, tamilnadu and northern part of kerala have highly restrictions, strict rules and regulations to initiate the vasi yoga for long standing trusted disciples.
the above post u had given all sort of garbages not a single word about vaasi yoga. You have not touched any single line of vaasi yoga But u r telling others that they dont know any thing. explain things about Patham vasal, Deepa jothi, sangu natham, banam, moolatharam, uyir, sikkula vasal, ezhai vasal in vaasi yoga it is not concerned with chakras. First basic u done know. It cannot be teached by ordinary teachers. Just decorating ourself with thaadi meesa and dress will not help in anyway. writing blog with all rubish things will divert the poeple and confuse things. Dont think yourself much and disgrace others. First try to give respect to others. If some body ask something it doesnot mean u know all. First reduce ur ego first and then u can advice others.

Vaasi yoga (vasi yoga) is a form of yoga that concentrates on the breath naadi (nadi), the cycle of the distribution of oxygen throughout the body, that occurs as part of the breathing process. Indian philosophy describes prana (life force) as flowing in channels called naadis. Vaasi yoga attempts to heal the body and sprirt by cleansing the breath naadi, and thus prepare for balance, true consciousness of self and then enlightenment. As such it is one of the kaya kalpa, the class of ancient yogic rejuvenation therapies. As a yogic practice it is an art of living taught by siddhars for over 3000 years ago, as initiated by Lord Shiva. Like other advanced types of yoga which should be practiced only under the guidance of Guru. Vaasi yoga is practiced by very few.
There has been lot of reference of this yoga to kriya yoga or kundalini prayanama (Yogic Breathing to increase the pranic energy). But all of the above practices are being followed or taught, without empowering the body to practice it. In other words, when the physique is not devoid of waste and when one with such a physique, practices any kind of yoga or breathing techniques, it will only aggravate the body conditions due to the heat or agni produced. All other kinds of yoga do not tend to remove the waste from the body, instead only rise the body temperature and increase the appetite. But in Vaasi yoga, food intake gets controlled automatically and one can control the appetite for food casually.
The term Shiva from a process of a Yogic system,Vaasi Yoga, that Shiva is termed as Adi Guru, the First Siddha, and Dakshinamoorthy as a Preceptor , embodying Silence and Vaasi Yoga being the regulation of the silent Nadi lends to the view that Shiva was a human being and became a Realized Soul .
Answer: Siddha yoga, Gathagatham, Kriya yoga are some of the other names given to Vasi yogam by different teachers. By whatever name it is known, the system is one and the same with some frills here and there at times. The method and practice is the same ultimately. It is about the secret of inner breath.
The verses of Bogar given below indicate particularly on the running of vasi in yogis. Yogis can Suck all the vasi when he raises the kunlini and maintain it on the particular way of built, then its starts to show the dances of nataraja. If the built of vasi from the stream line starts parallel travel through vertical position from top to bottom, there will be development of sounds which is used to hear in the musical stages. Suddenly it inserts into the point of traverse from the vasi and intrudes into the thousand petals of hole and broke out from the humans and spread out in the universe.
Mahayogi Nandheeswar explains about vasi and compared with the control of breath. Verses say a yogi should keep it on the travel and hold the breath along with vasi. It traverses to left hand side of the yogi. Hence, yogi locates the line of direction and changes into right hand side of the vasi, and then observes from the left hand side of the breath. After some years, he can hold the sun and activated the vasi. Sun here represents as control of right hand breath. Then practice in to flow of direction from left to right hand side of the running breaths.
Matchamuni Naayanar describes the goddess Vaalai in the beginning point. Verses say that yogi should worship vaalai, the goddess throughout day and night with concentration and surrender; he can achieve everything without any disruption. Verses says after completion of vaalai worship then make self to make Om kept in the centre and worship the lord shiva, the nine mantras around the ohm represents here as lord shiva. Take the light and glow along the vasi and work out daily without any obstruction, it leads to appearance of lord shiva and yogi himself appear as lord shiva.
A descriptive article on VASI yoga with quotes of Siddhars in Tamil.. A valuable one. Rare to find in one article. Thank you very much. The caution not to practice with exception is a MUST. As a continuous reader of your valuable useful article on all topics, I really wonder how much time u spend for gathering the details and pen them out with authority. Thank you
Generally what a person knows about breathing is that he breathes in (inhalation) and breathes out (exhalation) the air through the two openings in the nostrils. Many people are not aware of the breathing mechanism until a time the nose gets blocked. According to sage Thirumoolar, a person can live for hundred years by taking a time of four seconds to breathe in and out thereby he takes approximately 21,600 breaths in a day. If the breathing rate is reduced by doing a breathing unit that is higher than four seconds, then the average living period can be extended to more than hundred years. When a stage comes whereby the prana or energy goes in and comes out without having the breathing mechanism to function, then it is called zero breathing at which point the person conquers death and continues to live on. Today the average life expectancy rate has come down to seventy-five years due to increased breathing rate.
There are many traditions of Yoga and the teachings vary. But in Kriya Yoga, techniques are unique. The guru (teacher) initiates a sadhak (student) to learn the various techniques giving secret mudhras (stamping power) and also a ratio to follow.
This nadi system can be compared to a weighing balance. One kilogram weight in plate A and equal goods in plate C brings the indicator in balance B to neutral position so that the business of buying and selling takes place. For the perfect functions of the physical, mental, intellectual and spiritual bodies, breathing in balance by the right and left nostrils is an absolute necessity.
